The Torbay Half Marathon is organised by the Torbay AAC and was first run in 1992.
Torbay Half Marathon Route
The race is an out and back race, starting and finishing in Paignton, on the seafront Eastern Esplanade.
Runners start with an anti-clockwise lap around the Green before heading
in the direction of Torquay. The route then includes a turn at Manor Rd leading to Morin Rd
and at Grand Hotel Torquay runners are sent left towards Abbey Gates, then turn right passing
the historic Torre Abbey and back to the seafront where they reach the return point at
the Pavilion roundabout.
The race then returns to Paignton Green via Orient Rd, before reaching the Paignton seafront.
Runners reach Paignton Green where they turn left to the seafront Esplanade then turn right
for a second lap towards Torquay for as before.
