The Muckle Toon Trail Half Marathon is part of the Muckle Toon Adventure Festival that also
includes cycling, walking and mountain biking events.
Muckle Toon Half Marathon Route
The race is varied and challenging and described as "not for the faint hearted",
taking runners "where horses gallop".
Runners start at Basecamp, next to Langholm Rugby Football Club. From there they head towards and beyond the
town centre, up steep ascents, along bridleways, via single track sheep trails, down muddy descents
and even the occasional style and dry stone wall.
